I used this prompt.
Snow floated down like shards of broken glass. The only light that illuminated the area came from a single oil lamp; a beacon of life in the otherwise frozen, silent land. He stood motionlessly, staring at the light with wary eyes. After long moments of muted regard, he turned and walked the other direction. A floating lamp in a dead world could not be trusted.

I don’t know how many times I’ve attempted to start a blog on my website only to neglect it and delete it. I suspect that I will be neglecting this journal again as well. Whenever I write, I tend to discuss the personal side of my life, and I really don’t want it on display for the world to see. Not that I have anything to hide, but it’s more about protecting the friends and family I write about.
What is left to talk about, then, if not for my personal life? I could discuss religion, politics, or some other very personal opinion-based topic, but I recognize that I’m not very informed in those areas (particularly politics). Not wanting to say something out of ignorance, I choose not to say anything at all.
When I tried to update this blog in the past, I usually only wrote about things that made me angry. That can’t be very interesting at all. I get rather heated and my emotions take over the logical side. Who really wants to read about ranting, anyways?
I’m not very good at reviewing things, like music, movies, or books. My vocabularly is limited to “awesome” or “lame,” which doesn’t make for very worthwhile reviews. Maybe I should make use of this smiley this blog comes with: ![]()

Because I am certain to neglect the writing side of this blog, I decided to create a photoblog. I’m going to try my very hardest to put a picture up there everyday - it may be an old picture from yesteryear, or an interesting photo I somehow manage to take during the day. This upcoming term should produce daily interesting photos since I will be on the photography staff of my university’s newspaper.
I guess I should use this “introduction” post to talk about myself, but I feel like I do that too much. You can check out this page to find out a little bit more about me if you’re really that interested.
I am out of things to say at the moment. Be sure to check out the photoblog. Also, if you have a spare moment, click the link below to vote for my photo. ![]()
